Quartz
±15–20 sec/month accuracy. Two to three years of battery life. The lowest-maintenance choice for daily and office wear.
Discover QuartzWatchmaking Since 1966
Maxima belongs to the PA group, which began in 1966 by machining mechanical watch spares on a Petermann Swiss lathe, advanced to producing complete mechanical movements in Swiss collaboration, and moved into quartz movement manufacturing in the late 1980s. In 1996 the group launched Maxima with the first guaranteed waterproof watch range of its market.
That manufacturing lineage still defines how each watch is made today: case geometry, movement selection, gasket specification, assembly and final rate testing are handled under one roof — which is why our ceramic, metal, aqua-fiber and smart references share the same tolerance discipline.
Choose Your Movement
Movement choice changes accuracy, servicing rhythm and daily habit. Here is how our three families actually differ.

Discover Quartz
Wound by wrist motion, no battery, typically 36–42 hours of power reserve. For collectors who value mechanical craft.
Discover Automatic
AMOLED displays, HD Bluetooth calling, heart-rate and SpO₂ tracking. Charge every few days, update over the air.

Industrial Heritage
It started with a Petermann Swiss lathe and a simple conviction: a watch is only as honest as the tolerances behind it. Six decades later we still measure before we style — case thickness, gasket compression, hand clearance, torque on every screw-back.
That is the difference between assembling watches and understanding them.

Inside the Workshop
Four checkpoints every reference passes before it is allowed a serial number.
Ceramic, 316-grade steel, plated brass or reinforced fiber is selected for the intended use case, then checked for dimensional tolerance, edge finish and plating adhesion.
Movements are seated with hand-height clearance verified under magnification. Every unit is rate-tested; units drifting outside specification are re-regulated, not shipped.
Crown, crystal and case-back gaskets are lubricated and compressed to spec, then pressure-checked twice — once after sealing and once after final assembly.
Spring bars and end-links are pull-tested; leather and silicone straps are flex-cycled so buckles and keepers hold under daily use.
Dials, indices and crystals are inspected under controlled light for dust, print alignment and coating defects before the watch is cased up.
Each timepiece receives a traceable reference so warranty, genuinity and service history stay verifiable throughout ownership.
Buyer Questions
High-tech ceramic is sintered from zirconium oxide powder above 1,400 °C. The result is a case roughly four times harder than stainless steel, hypoallergenic on skin, colour-stable under UV light and highly resistant to everyday scratching. Steel is easier to re-polish after a hard knock, which is why we use ceramic for dress-forward references such as Serica and steel for tool-oriented designs.
Cases in the Waterproof and Aqua Fiber ranges are pressure-checked after gasket assembly and again after final casing-up. The sequence is dry-then-wet: vacuum and over-pressure checks confirm gasket seating, followed by an immersion condensation check. Any unit showing moisture ingress is rejected before packing.
Quartz gives roughly ±15–20 seconds per month with two to three years of battery life and the lowest service burden. An automatic is wound by wrist motion, uses no battery and is chosen for mechanical craftsmanship and long-term serviceability. A smartwatch adds Bluetooth calling, health tracking and notifications but needs charging every few days.
Maxima belongs to the PA group, which started with mechanical watch spares, progressed to complete mechanical movements in Swiss collaboration, and moved to quartz movement manufacturing in the late 1980s. Case design, movement selection, assembly and quality control are therefore handled in-house rather than outsourced wholesale.
Maxima timepieces carry a manufacturer warranty against material and workmanship defects; coverage limits and service steps are published on the warranty page. Authorised service touchpoints can be found through the store locator, and product questions are answered through the general FAQs and contact page.
